I've been noticing a perplexing trend that I may have alluded to once or twice on this little blog of mine, and it's the fact that since beginning instruction, there is an amazing slant to the amount of women beginner shooters who are just SO much better than beginner shooters of the male persuasion.
I felt that this was appropriate to mention considering that this upcoming Saturday (9/14/13) is the yearly Women On Target event at my local range (Central Jersey Rifle & Pistol Club), at which I will be an instructor once again to: A) Help educate women about shooting and promote the shooting sports, and B) Impress my girlfriend (recently added to the "new women shooter" list and doing remarkably well).
I don't know if it's the concentration factor, the ability to follow instruction without pre-existing shoulder chips, or the fact that women are just inherently better shots than men. But whatever, it is what it is and I find myself both humbled and very excited for the future of our beloved shooting sports because of it.
Of course, I will have pictures.
This Jew Shoots Guns... and will help instruct over 100 women in doing so. I've had worse jobs.
